Personalized one-on-one coaching

Online Psychosocial Support for Parents & Adults

Sometimes, you simply need someone who truly listens and thinks along with you. I offer the calm and practical tools necessary to regain a sense of agency over your own life and within your family.

During our one-on-one sessions, I listen to your story without judgment. I also ask thought-provoking questions and provide insights that help you move forward again.

Together, we experience what it’s like to press the pause button, to slow down, and to reconnect with yourself and your body. This creates the space to experience life in the here and now with kindness and a sense of agency. We always follow the pace of you and your body. In short: you are welcome at every session, exactly as you are in that moment.

The Tree of Life: Growing from the Roots

The deep-rooted tree of life in my logo symbolizes my vision of growth. We often look for a quick fix, but a seed that grows too fast without deep roots is often unable to withstand the wind.

Long-lasting change often begins beneath the surface; invisible to the outside world, and sometimes even to ourselves. Through our conversations, we provide this process with the right nourishment, rest, and attention. This allows a sturdy root system to develop, from which you can truly grow.

This holistic perspective is at the heart of my work: I look at the whole picture, where your body is just as important as your mind. The goal is not to ‘fix’ you, but to help you experience that the strength is already within you. This ensures that when a storm hits your life, you won't be easily blown over but instead stand firm, resilient and swaying with the wind—allowing your tree of life to continue to grow and flourish.

I was looking for a therapist who could make me face the facts, but with a gentle touch. Someone I could trust. Someone with whom I’d feel comfortable saying the things I think but don’t usually say. Someone who, with just a little nudge, could help me make significant progress. She makes connections I didn’t see myself. And I’m so grateful I found a therapist like this! Luka is a wonderful woman to talk to. Nothing is too strange, even if I sometimes think it is. I can be 100% honest with her—and therefore with myself. We can always crack a joke here and there. The atmosphere is very relaxed, which is wonderful. Just online, in your own familiar surroundings.

You sign up, and then what?

I don’t work from a fixed protocol; instead, I always adapt to what you need in the moment meaning this can vary from session to session. My approach is both holistic and body-oriented. This means we don’t just talk about what’s going on, but also pause to notice what your body is telling you. By involving your body’s signals in our conversations, insights often emerge that you simply cannot reach through thinking alone.

01

Get to know eachother

It all starts with a safe first step. That’s why we always begin with a free, no-obligation online introductory session lasting about 30 minutes. We’ll explore your needs and see if my approach aligns with what you’re looking for. If we decide together to start a program, I’ll send you an email with an intake form, the coaching agreement, and the terms and conditions.

02

 The first session

During our first session we take plenty of time to explore your needs in depth and go through your intake form. We then discuss your goals together and look at which approach suits you best. In this way we explore together which method feels most comfortable for you to take the first steps.

03

YOUR CUSTOMIZED PROGRAM

Your personal process begins after the very first session. During our appointments, we focus on the here and now: how you are feeling, what is on your mind, and the challenges you are facing. From that foundation, we also look toward the future. To give you an idea of the investment: many clients opt for an intensive start of approximately three months. with weekly sessions to build a solid foundation. After that, we often transition to biweekly sessions or meet once a month. We can schedule a number of appointments in advance for added structure, or decide session by session when the next meeting feels right. In short, there are no long-term commitments; we constantly tailor the frequency and duration to your needs.

Frequently Asked Questions About
Psychosocial support

My counseling services are not currently covered by health insurance providers.
Perhaps your employer offers a budget for this? Many employers have a budget for personal development, well-being, or sustainable employability. Since my coaching focuses on preventing burnout and building your resilience, employers are often willing to cover (part of) the costs.

Are you self-employed? If so, these sessions are often tax-deductible as business expenses under “coaching” or “personal development.” I recommend discussing the options with your supervisor or accountant.

We decide that entirely together. There’s no set schedule or minimum number of sessions you “have to” commit to. Some people find the clarity they were looking for after just three sessions, while others prefer to schedule a monthly moment of reflection and relaxation over a longer period. You’re always in control of the frequency.

No, I don’t currently have a waiting list, so you can schedule an introductory session at short notice. I believe it’s important to make it easy to reach out for help; if you feel you need some space and support right now, I want to be able to offer you that respite as soon as possible. Should demand increase in the future and a waiting period develop, I will always mention that right here on this page.

Generally speaking, the sessions take place online. That’s because I live and work in Malawi for much of the year. The advantage? You can attend the sessions from the comfort of your own home, no matter where in the world you are.

Am I in the Netherlands? If so, it’s also possible to do the sessions “live” in nature, while walking or in silence (in which case the price does not include travel expenses). Feel free to contact me to find out when I’ll be in the country. And if you’re in the mood for a truly big break: you’re always welcome to combine your vacation in Malawi with live sessions with me on location. Or how about one of my retreats under the African sun?

Absolutely. When we start working together, I’ll give you my phone number, and you can ask me quick questions between sessions via WhatsApp or Signal. I like to stay in close contact and support you throughout your journey.

When is WhatsApp actually meant to be used?

  • Quick questions about an exercise or something we discussed.
  • Sharing a success story or a valuable insight.

Where is WhatsApp not intended for?

  • When you're completely stuck or need immediate help.

I respond to WhatsApp messages within 48 hours.

Would you like to reschedule or cancel your appointment? Please give me a call on WhatsApp (since I’m currently abroad). That way, I can be sure I’ll see your message in time, and we’ll avoid missing each other.

Let's have a virtual cup of tea!
